I hosted the Best Beginnings launch with actress Celia Imrie and put actor Leon Ockenden through his paces...as myself, Leon and 9 other actors including Shameless star Ben Batt are doing a bike ride from London to Paris in September for Best Beginnings which is an amazing charity dedicated to ending child health inequalities in the UK.
The Bike ride is over 300km in 3 days! My bum is going to be sore! Funny thing is I don't even have a bike!
I'm going to do some training sessions with the actors to help them get fit and ready for the ride including one in Soho Square, London on June 1st. Theo Walcott's parents were they today, such lovely people, we actually put the world to rights about the World Cup and funnily enough health and fitness. We came to the conclusion that England can win the World Cup if we all collectively think positive and send the positive vibes to the England team...what do you reckon?
Reebok bike shoot

Yesterday I spent literally 7 hours riding around on a bike for a photoshoot, which sounds pretty cool, but my bum doesn’t half hurt today. The woods we did the shoot in were really pretty, a place in Milton Keynes called Asperly Woods and it was a big relief that the sun was shining.
I do look a bit daft in an oversized helmet, think I must have been wearing a big head man’s helmet, oh well, safety first! I was also wearing trainers 2 sizes too small for me at one point, that didn’t last long as my feet have already had enough of a beating after running the London Marathon; and my face every time my feet cramped didn’t quite suit the ‘happy cycling around look.’
It was a fun shoot and did pelt around for a little bit so had a bit of an exercise. I have to admit I was running out of steam at the end, especially having got back from Manchester so late (presenting Sky Sports Speedway) but we were saved when some lovely kiddie winks bought us some jelly babies and tangtastic haribo’s. Brilliant!
